WeedQuake is basically some weapon modifications which includes :

  • Blaze gun - the nailgun now throws fireballs that can only be extinguished with water. I suggest using the Blaze gun by Jonathan E. Wright for a better experience.
  • Gib gun - the super nailgun now launches a gib that then disintegrates your target into a pile of gibs.
  • Grappling hook - a second setting for the ax that allows you to propel yourself to higher levels or over small bodies of water. This version is very well done.
  • Homing rockets - the rocket launcher fires 3 rockets that home in on your targets. Also displays what targets they are attacking.
  • Sniper gun - the shotgun now fires a single nail that explodes your enemies. There is no zoom so the sniper idea falls short.
  • Automatic double barrel shotgun - the double barrel shotgun now fires like an automatic weapon to acquire mass destruction. (not listed in readme and not available at start up)
  • Flash lights - the grenade launcher now fires little flash lights that can help light your path. Pretty pointless since they do zero damage. (not listed in readme)
  • The power of getting high - type impulse 14 into your console and see what happens when the Quake guy gets high. Getting high really just warps the screens, distorting the field of view. This of course is pointless but an interesting gimmick. (see screenshot 2)

You receive all weapons at start up except for the thunderbolt and the double barrel shotgun. You also start with 999 life and 200 health.

Overall, this mod has some interesting features but take out the getting high part and it lacks in originality since most of these weapon mods have been created before. On the plus side, it is a nice compilation so if you’re looking for these specific modifications then download away.
