Juha Koiste’s first Quake2 map attempts to show us how Quake2 crates can be interesting. In this case you will see entire walls of crates stacked to the ceiling. Crates lined along the walls and scattered randomly throughout the level. A neat touch but a novelty that quickly fades.

The level is very small and surprised me when it ended. I just couldn’t believe how small it was. There is no story for this level and the gameplay is lacking severly. Once the super shotgun is attained the cramped areas become a Stroggs nightmare making the battles little entertainment for the player. There are no secrets either which is also surprising with the amount of crates you can climb on. Of course any extra supplies would’ve just added to the ease of the level so maybe that’s why the author opted for zero secrets.

The author states that he was going for a non-Quake2 feel but I’m afraid he failed. Not only did I still feel very much in Quake2, I was disgusted by the raping that it suffered.
