Machine Reborn comes as a .pak file and includes some new monsters and weapons from the Quake II mission pack, The Reckoning. The architecture is fairly simple, lacking the beautiful structuring that is usually featured in a [Kona] map. In fact, the entire time I played it I kept forgetting it was a [Kona] map.
What really makes this a great level is the game play. Only 150 modified creatures await to slaughter you in Machine Reborn. Be prepared for surprises with teleporting Gladiators, Gunners, and Tanks. Health is usually found after battles in a abundance, but the piles of them are usually spread out enough to keep you on your toes.
