Strogg’s Garage is know as one of the first user created maps for Quake II released. Usually the first maps released for a game are not of the greatest quality but Strogg’s Garage is definitely an exception, but it’s not flawless.

It has several areas that grab your attention, the first is right at the start where you meet the other soldiers who have tried to stop the Strogg. Next is the platform surrounded by green lasers, this is where you find the Railgun. There are a couple more nice sections but I don’t wish to spoil everything for those of you who might not have played this level yet.

The biggest problem with Strogg’s Garage is that the level feels very crammed. There are a few tight areas but they usually don’t propose a problem. I personally think you receive the Railgun much to early in the level and it would’ve had better gameplay using less powerful weapons. Overall, it’s still a fun map to play but don’t expect to amazed.
