Created in 1998, The Strogg Downfall is a classic in my book. Good game play with well positioned enemies and light weaponry. In fact the only weapons you receive is the shotgun, super shotgun, machine gun, and hyperblaster. Of course, that arsenal is plenty but take in the fact that there isn’t much ammo for these weapons and you’ve got a full out rumble on your hands.

The layout is nicely done with stable architecture. There isn’t any magnificent eye catching areas but don’t worry about being disappointed! There is only one spot that I found a problem and that’s where you have to climb back up a chain that you really don’t think about climbing. A small problem but it kept me running around for a few minutes.

Overall, The Strogg Downfall is fun level that any Quake2 fan should add to their archive.
