Turin's from WTF?, with that bit of knowledge we know that we'll be in for a treat. The layout of Turin is well planned out, well balanced, and plays great when team play is actually used. Team play is a requirement for Team Fortress Classic, w00t! You won't run around aimlessly like an oaf in a Team Fortress "death match" map here. Aside from playing great, the architectural work is simply inspirational.

Now comes the shock on how to play Turin, a mixture of hunted and attackers-versus-defenders wha? Try to think of it as keep away; those who have fun keeping the flag, those who want it, and the keepers run down the wanters when they do get it. Heheheheheh childhood has returneth! The blue team would be the flag defenders (keepers) with red being the attackers (wanters); when red gets the flag they become the hunted, beat down target. This change in roles seems to be what confuses people the most. It's actually plain and simplistic; destroy the flag carrier for he has your cloth of dignity!

Of the many "cool" places of the map, the yards in-front of the bases would have to be some of the major playing fields. Each one offers a wide range of defensive and offensive tactics with all of the pathways and routes shooting off from them. The "mid-field," if you'd like to call it that, would have to be one of the most unique one's that I have seen. It is covered with buildings and pathways for somebody to hide in or around for an ambush. With the objective being obtained by the Attackers, the defenders can always use a bit of help, Turin adds in a few more descriptive points too; above, at, near, going to, would be just a few of the items flashing across the screen when the flag carrier hits a given point. That should be enough info for Mr. Non-hostile Spy to walk in and find the single target he wants; cowering in a corner with those cute little puppy dog eyes looking at you, begging for positive attention and praise.

Yet another included treat would be a waypoint file for the Fox Bot. Thanks to the author's time and care you can play this map with bots when you can't find a server who runs Turin. The included waypoint file also makes it so that the player doesn't have to go through the hassle of making one that works partially or the bots don't even go to the right places. With all of the time put into Turin, we can make the assumption he wanted to pamper his map before sending it off for players to enjoy.
