Q3F
- Wookies Den
Hi guys,

I was wondering if you knew about and planned to provide info for the awsome Q3F (Quake 3 Fortress) mod? I have to say I haven't had any desire to play TFC since I started playing it. Feels a lot like the original TF. Was just curious.
Slick: Actually, the admins just had a discussion about this recently, we do plan on providing coverage to Q3F and also UF (and if the demand is there SOFF and any other Fortress platform that comes along), however PlanetFortress itself will not be providing this coverage. We will be looking for high quality hosted sites that are run by people who are into that particular game to cover it the best. -- I do not feel right covering Quake3Fortress because I do not play it (for many reasons, one being it's just a copy of TFS's game). I play TF, by Valve. But I also do know that some people still play Q3F and want information on it, therefore the best solution is to provide hosting for an appropriate site.

Hope that clears up any questions.

Spray Logo
- Silent-Scope
HI

I was wondering where i could download really funny spray logos for the multiplayer, i have tried making them but they come out all weired.
Slick: PlanetHalflife has one hosted site that I know of with crosshairs, (there might be more, but I haven't looked in a while). Check out http://www.planethalflife.com/crosshaircentral/ that should have exactly what your looking for.

Question
- The_mak
You guys rock but enough of the butt kissing for now. i am looking for a list of settings that the server can change such as sv_gravity and so forth. could you tell me where i can find a list of this stuff thanks.
DieHard: eh there,

For a list of console commands try http://i.am/tfc for a complete list of console commands. The ones that start with sv are server commands.

Clan Announcements...?
- TNT
Could you do us all a favor and remove the Clan Announcements page, since it seems that nobody has had time to maintain this page for the last 5 MONTHS(!!!) it should be removed from the site so that nobody has to waste their time reading obsolete information.
Slick: Hmmmm I suppose I could do that.. That was The Hal's thing, nobody ever picked it up, and there hasn't been too much demand for it so I would say that to be a good call to close it up for a while.

This is pretty cool..
- [SPAM]Chicken
Recently i went to the updated EwL, and one writer named [MST]TomServo-TPF- submitted a link to a really cool add-on for TFC:

"...it shows the more exotic deaths of TFC, and is more interesting than the silly skull and crossbones..." http://llama.pcgame.com/Media/sprite.zip

it's REALLY easy to install and download. There are no special installations needed. I think you should post it on the main page of the site, it is pretty helpful, and it would be neat if everyone had it ;-)
Slick: I'm just tossing this one in without looking at it yet just for the sake of the mailbag, I will look into and download this program. If it's any good, I'll also make notice of it on PlanetFortress, but you daring mailbag readers will now have a first hand shot at downloading it before the server crashes from mention on the PF main page. (we have actually done that before )

Is it possible to get a program for TFC that can make artificial players like Jumbot or Rhobot?
Slick: Unfortunately no. Either Valve would have to make them themselves (and take more time away from TF2 bot coding since they would need the same people to do that if they wanted it done well), or they would have to release the TF 1.5 source code to allow someone to code them. But that would open up a whole slew of more possibilities for cheating if that was done.

Of course, someone could always remake TF entirely in their mod, then code bots in. :)

TFC Teamplay?
- PoInT_BlAnK_Firelord
Hey. first off i have to say you have the best TFC site. i was wondering if there are any sites and/or servers that promote TEAMPLAY in TFC. im tired of playing on pubs that have people doing whatever they want and there is no or very little cooperation involved. i thought that i went on a site that was like this but i forget where it was. thanks.
Slick: There is a group called TeamPlayFirst. (TPF) if you've visited our forums you know who they are. They also have a website, however that's going to switch servers soon.

The main idea of the group (which I am also a member of) is that they are a bunch of guys who promote good teamplay on the servers, and they wear the -TPF- tag to allow each other to find themselves in programs such as GameSpy easily.
