Quake Team Fortress. A mod that changed the gaming scene entirely. Who knows what would have come up in the gaming world if TF had not proven to be so popular? Would CS have ever been made? - What about Half-Life? or Quake 2/3? Would games in general be as popular (I wouldn't have gotten into gaming as much if it weren't for TF).
